Hey Milwaukee. Do you know of an artist or a band that might be great on 414 Music?  Why don’t you leave a comment with the band’s name plus a link to their website or myspace.  We will check it out, and just maybe they will be on the next 414 Music on 88Nine RadioMilwaukee.

This is a really great up-and-coming band with a lot of talent. If you like indie and alternative music, or if you just plain like good live music, you should really check them out. A very fun band to watch.

Hey! I think the band New New Fossils would be perfect for your show! Their set includes lots of original music as well as covers from such artists as Wilco, Cake, Chuck Prophet, and Tom Waits. You can check out their website at http://www.newnewfossils.com or their myspace page at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=55696398

    Thanks for your time; enjoy!!!!!

Some of Milwaukee’s finest rockers – Somebody Talked – are coming off their first record release (The Onion Milwaukee’s music editor seemed to enjoy it), and some great shows with bands like 1956, The Drunk Drivers and Knit Delicate.

A great stage show, and an old-school rock-stravaganza. A perfect jolt to the current Milwaukee scene!

Check out the Irish trad. band Athas.
They just released their debut CD last month. They’ll be playing at the Ardor Pub this Friday, Oct. 12th and the County Clare on Friday, October 19th.

Hey! One of my favorite Milwaukee bands, Call Me Lightning, with a recently released sophomore album on Frenchkiss Records that is solid gold and a sound not unlike an indie-punk Go-Go’s – they’d be some great listening for 414 Music.

    And lest I forget -

The band I’ve been most wanting to hear when I tune in every Friday afternoon, and arguably (though I might be biased) the most interesting new band in Milwaukee, is Terrior Bute!
If you’ve not heard of them, they’re three kids who rock out with massively catchy writing, keytars, a drumkit, a moog, and loud happy dance-worthy performances of some of the edgiest, freshest, most energizing synth punk “out there”. Signed to Vicious Pop Records in Shorewood.

    Check ‘em out:
